What will we be learning this term?
Year 5
Year 5 London Bridge and Westminster Bridge classes will be learning about Vikings, Anglo Saxons and Scots this term for our history unit and Extreme Earth for geography. We will study Living things and Their Habitats and Forces in science and Christian Festivals and The End of Life's Journey in RE.
We will continue with our sentence stacking for English and will be reading and writing a range of fiction and non-fiction texts.
In maths, we will be focusing on multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages, perimeter and area and statistics.
Year 6
Year 6, Tower Bridge and Chelsea Bridge Class will be learning about Global Trade in Geography and World War Two in History. We will be studying Evolution and The Circulatory System in science and Islam and Judaism in RE.
We will continue with our sentence stacking in English, focusing on Hansel and Gretel - a traditional tale - and Rose Blanche - a war story. In reading, we will be studying a range of fiction and non-fiction texts including poetry, picture books, Shakespeare and novels.
In maths, we will be studying some new topics to the children: ratio and proportion, algebra, decimals, percentages and measure (perimeter, area and volume).
